Beyond oblivion

I had to e-mail my former post-doc mentor today with a question. I spent nearly 30 minutes on the internet looking for an answer before succumbing, very reluctantly. The e-mail I got back was a non-answer. Actually it was an answer, but not the one I was looking for. But after the answer was a statement of Congratulations, he just heard yesterday that I was pregnant again.

He walks by my office probably once a day on average. Beyond oblivion. That's the new record!
